BIOGRAPHY
I am Darma Sainmervil, Owner and president of JM Properties of W. Palm Beach, Inc.
I always had a special love for the construction trade; even from the tender age of 15 years old, I chose to take advantage of my summer recesses to assist my uncle who was a contractor in the business. Quickly after graduating high school, my uncle promoted me to field supervisor. In 1983, when I became a Real Estate Broker and Investor, my family affectionately called me Mr. Furley: a nickname referring to a character on the sitcom Three’s Company who plays a landlord that always carried a toolbox.
In the later part of 1988, the local paper published a real estate study claiming that inventory for entry level housing in the market was substantially low. Consequently, in early 1989 I entered into a partnership with an experienced architect and formed MS Development, corp. to take advantage of the market and help fill the gap. My partner had extensive knowledge of the construction industry, ranging from design concepts of strip-mall shopping centers to multi and single-family residential projects. This experience helped me further strengthen my knowledge of the trade.
I was deeply involved in the daily operations of MS Development, corp. I oversaw projects from commencement to completion, from basic design conception through the selection of subcontractors, etc. I even sometimes assumed the role of field superintendent by overseeing the construction execution phase from beginning to end.
Not always satisfied with contractors that I trusted to run my project, I decided to become a contractor myself. Therefore, I took the time to obtain my two certified designations: Building contractor (CBC 1251448) and Roofing Contractor (CCC1326578) from the State of Florida.
When I ultimately incorporated JM Properties of W. Palm Beach, Inc. in 2003, I brought with me the same desire to furnish an outstanding service with one promise in mind:

I found the time to attend Florida Atlantic University and earn a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, despite being quite busy and deeply involved with the technical side of the business. I did this so I could better understand the operational and management side of the trade.
